B.E.E.Spoke Boutique and Art Café
At the end of Bent Street, B.E.E.Spoke Boutique & Art Café brings together thoughtful design, local art, and one of the best cups of coffee in town. The boutique side offers a curated mix of women’s clothing—soft neutrals, timeless essentials, and pieces chosen for comfort, quality, and ease. Handmade jewelry, candles, and small-batch gifts add a personal, creative touch.
Just beyond the racks, the Art Café serves locally roasted coffee, matcha, and teas in a calm, art-filled space. It’s a quiet spot to pause, meet a friend, or linger after a stroll through town. Open daily, with extended hours Thursday through Monday until 7 p.m., it’s one of the few places in Taos where you can still find an excellent cup as the evening settles in.
Unhurried, welcoming, and quietly stylish—B.E.E.Spoke reflects the spirit of Taos itself.
World Cup
At the entrance to Taos’s historic plaza, World Cup has been serving exceptional espresso for decades. The space is compact—just a walk-up window and a few benches—but its reputation runs deep. Locals, artists, and travelers stop by for strong coffee, quick conversation, and a sense of community that’s distinctly Taos.
The menu is simple: espresso drinks done right, a few fresh pastries, and nothing unnecessary. It’s a mostly cash-onlyoperation, so plan ahead before joining the line that often spills onto the sidewalk.
World Cup isn’t fancy or fussy—it’s a fixture. A reliable start to the day, a place to pause, and one of the best spots in town to feel part of the local rhythm.
The Coffee Apothecary
Located south of the plaza at 616 Paseo del Pueblo Sur, The Coffee Apothecary is Taos’ refined take on the neighborhood café. Here, beans are roasted onsite, espresso is pulled with precision, and every cup is crafted with care. You’ll find the familiar — lattes, drip coffee, pastries — but also a hint of the unexpected: creative flavors, a quiet interior that invites lingering, and a subtle emphasis on wellness and craft. Arrive early for the full experience; the café closes by mid-afternoon. Whether you’re settling in with a book, meeting a friend, or simply pausing your day, The Coffee Apothecary fits.
Cafe Sagrado
Café Sagrado is where thoughtful sourcing meets Taos flavor. Located in the heart of the John Dunn Shops on Bent Street, this women-owned café serves organic, fair-trade coffee alongside smoothies, teas and vegan-friendly pastries. A curated bodega corner displays handmade gifts and art, making the place as much about community and culture as it is about caffeine. Open daily from 9 a.m., it’s a welcome stop for locals and visitors alike—come for the drink, stay for the story.
Mountain Monk Coffee
Set just South of Taos at 4153 NM-68 in the historic village of Ranchos, Mountain Monk Coffee offers more than your typical café run. Here you’ll find craft-roasted coffee next to cacao, kava and herbal brew-ables, all served in a space built for calm, community and nourishment. Vegan and gluten-free fare rounds out the menu. Whether you’re stopping in after a hike or settling in for a quiet courtyard moment, Mountain Monk is a place to linger, reflect, and sip with purpose.
Elevation Coffee
North of town in El Prado, Elevation Coffee is a quiet, dependable spot for strong espresso, creamy lattes, and a slower pace. Known for its good drinks, locally made pastries, and occasional house-made gelato, it’s the kind of place where you can sip, read, or simply take a break from the bustle of town.
The café has a minimalist, no-frills vibe—less about small talk, more about the coffee itself. Early hours and easy parking make it a reliable stop for commuters or anyone starting the day at the north end of town.
Come for the coffee, stay for the calm.
